A Special Transition Offer During the Introduction of the New ISA Qualification System
The new Sauna Master® represents the most comprehensive professional qualification currently being developed within the International Sauna Qualification System – ISQS. The complete programme is based on 101 specialist modules, extensive training compendia, assessments, practical components and a progressive qualification structure. At the same time, ISA is currently introducing the new ISQS system internationally. For this reason, we have established a special transition arrangement for participants entering the Sauna Master programme during the development and international rollout phase.

Transition Price:

Valid for enrolments until December 31, 2027. From January 1, 2028, the regular programme fee for the Sauna Master will be: USD 2,499

The transition price is available while the new ISQS qualification structure, digital learning environment and international practical training network are being introduced. It is not a reduced version of the Sauna Master programme. Participants enrolling during the transition period receive access to the new Sauna Master programme under the transition conditions described below.

Participants joining the Sauna Master programme during the transition phase already receive access to the educational foundation of the new programme.

• The Complete Sauna Master Training Compendium: The three-volume English-language Sauna Master Training Compendium is complete and available (PDF-Version). The three volumes contain the professional knowledge base of the new Sauna Master programme and cover the major fields of competence that will later be integrated into the complete digital learning structure. 
• Exclusive Sauna Master Workbook: Participants also receive the Sauna Master Workbook and Examination Book (PDF-Version). This workbook has been developed specifically for the Sauna Master programme and is not available for general retail purchase. It is reserved exclusively for enrolled Sauna Master participants.

The workbook supports active learning and professional transfer through:

• practical assignments
• reflection tasks
• checklists
• preparation for assessments and examinations

The Training Compendia provide the knowledge base. The Workbook turns that knowledge into active learning and professional application. Together, they form the completed print-based foundation of the new Sauna Master programme.
Participants therefore do not enrol in an undefined future programme. The core curriculum, the three-volume Training Compendium and the exclusive Sauna Master Workbook already exist.
The digital learning environment and additional programme components are now being built around this completed professional foundation.

Why Is There a Transition Price?
The Sauna Master is designed as ISQS Level 4. Under the final qualification structure, entry to Level 4 requires competencies and qualifications acquired at the preceding ISQS levels. However, during the current international rollout phase, not all of these prerequisite qualifications are yet available in every market. It would therefore be unreasonable to require participants to complete qualifications that they cannot currently access. For the transition period, ISA has created a special admission pathway.
This allows suitable participants to begin the new Sauna Master programme while the complete ISQS structure is being established.

What Does the Transition Arrangement Mean?
Participants enrolling before December 31, 2027 benefit from:

• the special USD 1,490 transition price
• access to the new Sauna Master learning programme as modules are released (coming soon)
• access to programme updates and newly introduced learning materials
• integration into the developing ISQS qualification structure
• access to the corresponding Sauna Master materials included in the programme
• the opportunity to complete newly introduced components during the transition period
• protection from the regular USD 2,499 programme price introduced on January 1, 2028

There will be no additional programme fee simply because new modules or programme components are added during the transition period.

What About the Normal Entry Requirements?
Under the final ISQS structure, the Sauna Master is an advanced qualification and is not intended as an entry-level course. Normally, participants progress through defined qualification stages before entering Level 4. During the transition period, however, some of these qualification pathways are still being introduced internationally. ISA therefore applies temporary transition admission rules.
Previous professional education, practical sauna experience and comparable qualifications may be taken into account. Where necessary, missing components can be completed as the corresponding ISQS courses become available.

Transition Admission Does Not Reduce the Qualification Standard
The temporary admission pathway changes when certain requirements may be completed.
It does not change what a Sauna Master must ultimately know and be able to demonstrate.
The professional standard of the final qualification remains the same. This distinction is important.
Participants are not receiving a simplified Sauna Master qualification. They are entering the full qualification through a temporary pathway created while the international system is being established.

Early Participants Help Build the New System
The transition period is also the first international implementation phase of the new Sauna Master programme. Participants entering during this period become part of the development of a new generation of professional sauna education. Their advantage is a significantly reduced programme fee.
ISA's responsibility is to ensure that participants who enter early are not disadvantaged as the system develops. For this reason, programme developments and required updates introduced during the transition phase will be incorporated into their existing enrolment.

From January 1, 2028
From January 1, 2028, the Sauna Master programme will operate under the regular ISQS structure.
The regular programme fee will be: USD 2,499
The standard Level 4 admission requirements will then apply. The transition price and temporary admission pathway will end on December 31, 2027.

One Programme – One Professional Standard
Whether a participant enters during the transition phase or after the complete ISQS structure has been introduced, the objective remains the same: A Sauna Master qualification should represent genuine professional competence. The transition arrangement makes it possible to begin that journey today – without lowering the standard that defines the qualification.
